Douglas v Blarney U13’s

It was Blarneys last league game of the season against the premier league winners.

Blarney were under pressure from the start of the game from a physical Douglas side and conceded a penalty after seven minutes. Douglas made it 2-0 in the 15th minute from close range and in the 20th minute Blarney lost their keeper Ben Maher through injury. Cian Curran went between the posts and he pulled off some fine saves for the remainder of the game. It was 2-0 at HT.

In the second half Blarney picked up the pace with Gavin O’Sullivan in midfield and Cameron Lynch making some good runs down the left and they created some good goal chances but failed to score.

Douglas scored three more goals in the remainder of the game and it finished 5-0.
