BUFC U14’s v Ringmahon

BUFC U14’s 1 – 1 Ringmahon

Blarney Utd under 14s welcomed Ringmahon Rangers to O’Shea park on a freezing miserable evening that you might expect to get in November and not in late April. In cold and wet conditions Blarney took the game to Ringmahon and it was all one way traffic for the first half with the Blarney midfield of Shane O Shea and Sean Mac Carthy taking control of things in the middle of the park, There was sustained pressure from the Blarney wing men of Ben Hutchinson and Dean O’Shea who were feeding the two from men of Conor O’Riordan and Dylan Constant and they in turn were keeping the Ringmahon defense busy, The Ringmahon keeper was the busiest man on the pitch. The breakthrough came when Conor O Riordan converted a poachers goal to put Blarney in front.

The second have was much the same with Blarney piling on the pressure but the Blarney could not get a second to put the tie to bed and the Rangers defence we riding their luck for the duration of the second half. Blarney were very impressive throughout but were caught by a long ball which Ringmahon converted to share the spoils, Managers Man of the match was Shane O’Shea who put in a great box to box performance. Managers are very proud of the whole team to a man and particularly the attitude and their never say die attitude of the whole squad.
