Supervalu Game of the week U12A v Carrigtwohill

Last Sunday the lads played very we’ll and were unfortunate to go down 4-2 at home.
Blarney started the game well and were unlucky when there was a up between the defender and keeper which resulted in an early goal for Carrigtwohill which was well finished by striker. Blarneys Utd’s Conor White and Robert Kelly kept dominating midfield and kept the pressure on there defence with Matthew O Sullivan unlucky not to equalise after 20 mins. Blarney found themselves 2 down but kept pressing for a goal , leaving themselves opened at the back in the second half and conceded a soft third goal.
To be fair to Blarney their heads didn’t drop with Chris McGrath and Sean Og keeping the pressure on and this pressure resulted in a penalty created and converted by Chris.
Spurred on by the goal Blarney continued to dominate possession and kept creating chance after chance with Domnhall  Walsh scoring to make it 3-2 to Carrigtwohill
Blarney continued to press for the equalise but finally conceded a fourth goal at the end to Carrigtwohill.
Overall well done another brilliant performance with the team going in the right direction….
