Another important win for the U12 Division 1 team in their push for league honors and promotion to the Premier League.

The Blarney lads started well but with 8 minutes into the game an injury to midfielder Charlie Cummins was a big blow to Blarney.

Bandon grew into the game and an excellent save from stand in keeper Sean Connolly ensured it stayed 0-0 for the first half.

Blarney upped their game in the second half and were unlucky on a number of occasions not to take the lead.

Aaron Healy and Jerry Murphy were now dominating the midfield and the re-introduction of Charlie Cummins was the catalyst that Blarney needed.

A great ball out to the left wing was picked up by Charlie and after beating 3 players he rifled an unstoppable shot into the top right hand corner.

Bandon pushed for an equalizer but great defending from Liam Leisk, Eoin O Sullivan, Danniel Murphy and George Forrest ensured there was no way through for them.

With 5 minutes to go a fantastic corner for Blarney taken By Aaron Healy found Jerry Murphy who controlled it well and got off a good shot but was saved by the Bandon goalkeeper and the rebound fell to George Forrest to blast it into the Bandon net and ensure the 3 points were going to Blarney.

A great win for the lads and an important few weeks ahead in their push for League honors & promotion.
