Blarney United VS Lakewood Athletic A.

Blarney started the first half really well and with under 5 minutes Jacob Kelleher stroked the ball into the net to make it 1-0 from the penalty spot following a lovely pass from the right wing.

Blarney did not have to wait long to double their advantage when Ronan Mac Donald shot on goal to make it 2-0. Blarney had several chances to increase their lead but unfortunately couldn’t take any of them and the game ended 2-0 at half time.

Second was a different story and Lakewood took command,  we conceded an own goal and Lakewood scored to equalised the game.

It was one of those nights; we did not deserve to lose, but this is soccer.

Overall excellent performance, we still need a win to get our confidence back.
