Blarney U16A’s v Churchvilla

It was a beautiful afternoon for a game of ball in O Shea Park. Jose’s army welcomed Churchvilla and it proved to be a great result for the Blarney men. It took Blarney a while to get to grips with the game. The Blarney back four were immense and dealt with any pressure that the east cork men threw at them. Luke Keogh and Charlie Murphy were very dominant in midfield and provided lots of opportunities for the front men both Carey and Morley and the striking pair made good use of the quality ball. Michael Carey scored a hat trick and it could have been more. His striking partner Adrian Morley got a brace to show Blarney’s dominance. Churchvilla got a late penalty which they converted well but Blarney left the best to last when a set piece corner  straight from the training ground was converted by Thomas Falvey which was just rewards for the ever hard working defender. Well done to the whole team.
