Blarney through to the U15 Local Cup Final

Blarney 2 – 1 St Marys
This was a terrific and deserved win away to St Marys in the local cup semi final.
St Marys took the lead after 15 mins from a long range free kick that somehow went all the way into the net. Blarney equalized after 30 mins, again from a long range free kick that was dropped by there goalkeeper and knocked in from close range by Cian Connolly. From the start of the 2nd half Blarney took  control all over the park. 15 minutes into the half Blarney took a deserved lead. After a quick break from defence the ball was  crossed from the left which broke to the edge of there box to the on coming Michael O Mahony. He struck a superb goal which gave there keeper no chance. This was a goal that deserved to be a match winner, which proved to be the case. They now can look forward to defending the trophy they won last season, and if they perform anywhere near like the semi final, then there in with a great chance.
